Doris E. Creswell went to be forever with her Lord on Jan. 8, 2025. She was a resident for 19 years in the Londonderry Village, Palmyra, PA.
Doris is the daughter of the late Clifford A. and Etta D. (Dearolf) Creswell. She was born on Aug. 13, 1927, in Lancaster, PA.
She was a graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School. She earned a B.S. in elementary education at Millersville University; a Master’s at Temple University, and an Ed.D in elementary education and psychology at Penn State University. She did additional graduate studies at the University of Maryland, Eastern New Mexico University, and Columbia University.
Doris taught in Lancaster Township and Manheim Township school districts and in the Laboratory School at Millersville University, where she taught college classes in summer sessions. For 22 years, she was the elementary school mathematics advisor at the Department of Education, Harrisburg, PA. While there, she developed three major curriculum programs.
Doris was a member of The First Assembly of God, Lancaster. Later in life, she was a member of Living Waters Chapel, AG, Lebanon, PA.
She is survived by two sisters, Jeanne S. Mowrer and Phyllis J. Stone, both of Lancaster; brother, Clifford J. Creswell (Barbara), of Aurora, CO; nieces, Nancy M. Ressler, of Reedsville, and D. Jane Underkoffler, of Annville; nephew, David R. Mowrer (Marguerite), of Blue Bell; and great-nephews, Daniel and Derek (Rayna) Underkoffler, both of Annville.
There will be a life celebration in a memorial service on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville.
