Doris E. Martin, of Richland, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the age of 91 years, 6 months, and 12 days. She was the wife of the late Lester S. Martin.
Born in McAlisterville on Nov. 15, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Elva (Auker) Brubaker. She was a member of the Little Mountain Mennonite Church.
She is survived by her sons, Dale (Miriam) Martin, of Newport, and Daryl (Judith) Martin, of Fredericksburg; daughters, Doris L. (Duane) Martin, of New Holland, and Marlene (Jesse) Hursh, of Morrisville, VT; step-sons, James (Betty) Martin, of Schuylkill Haven, and Jay (Mariann) Martin, of Lititz; step-son-in-law, Larry (Nancy) Weaver, of Myerstown; and 39 grandchildren, 103 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and many others who called her grandma. She is also survived by her brother, Dale (Pat) Brubaker, of McAlisterville; sisters, Arlene Gehman, of Windsor, MD, and Thelma (Merle) Diem, of Bamburg, SC; and sister-in-law, Hope Brubaker, of Mifflintown.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Janet (Larry) Weaver, of Myerstown; brother, Roy (Hope) Brubaker; sisters, Anna Brubaker, Miriam Kauffman, and Naomi Brubaker; and brothers-in-law, Eugene Gehman and James Kauffman.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 2, 2025, at the Little Mountain Mennonite Church, 391 Musselman Road, Fredericksburg. There will be a viewing on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow the service in the adjoining church cemetery.
