Doris F. Chobanoff, 86, of Lebanon, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Juniper Village, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of George C. Chobanoff of Lebanon. They recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.
Born on September 29, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Lester J. and Ethel M. (Krissinger) Wikel.
She graduated from Jonestown High School with the Class of 1954. She worked for 34 years for Everite Knitting Mills as a seamstress. She then worked for the Good Samaritan Hospital in the housekeeping department. Doris was a member of Mountville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping, especially at Assateague Island. She also enjoyed reading and the work of Thomas Kincade. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Susan D. Evans of Annville, Michael K. Chobanoff husband of Maureen Chobanoff of Greenfield, WI., and daughter Kristy D. Bugg wife of Ricky Bugg of Fredericksburg; 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Glen Wikel and her son-in-law Earl Evans.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home and Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
