Doris J. Sheetz, 95, of Lebanon, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, October 16, 2022. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Sheetz, Sr., who died on October 2, 1992.

Born in Lancaster County on June 10, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Eleanora (Mason) Fisher.

Doris graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1945. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Congregational Church, Steelstown, where she served in many roles in her church, enjoyed hosting pray/bible study groups, was a member of the Eastern Star for 50 years, loved to play bridge and pinochle, was a member of several card groups. Doris was a founding member of The Friends of Camp Bashore and served as the secretary. She also enjoyed traveling, and her favorite trip was to Aruba several times a year.

She is survived by her son Robert H. Sheetz, Jr. of Lebanon; sister Peggy Clare of Myerstown; 10 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sister Shirley Lurch in 1998, sister-in-law Carol (Lappin) Sheetz in 2012, and brother-in-law Dave Lappin.

Funeral services will be on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. Eastern Star service will be a 12:15 p.m. Interment will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. A viewing will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
