Dorothy M. Boyer, 97, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, at StoneRidge Towne Centre in Myerstown.

Born in Lebanon, PA on Sept. 24, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Stella (Peiffer) Grumbine. A member of Zion “Goshert’s” UCC, Lebanon, Dorothy belonged to the Lebanon Senior Center. She was employed as a food preparer and server at the Lebanon VA Medical Center for 28 years. Dorothy also worked on the family farm for 26 years.

She is survived by daughters, Myrtle, wife of Robert Hafer, of Myerstown, Karen, wife of Robert Stauffer, of Myerstown, Nancy, wife of John Yoder, of Ephrata, Diane Wright, of Manheim; sons, Neil, husband of Gloria Boyer, of Myerstown, Kerry, husband of Tina Boyer, of Myerstown; daughter-in-law, Nancy Boyer, of Myerstown; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandsons; sister, Betty Kline, of Myerstown; and sisters-in-law, Pauline Grumbine, of Myerstown, and Raeanna Grumbine, of Richland. Dorothy was preceded in death by a son, Gary Boyer; son-in-law, Michael Wright; sisters, Emma Heller, Mary Long, and Elsie Harnish; and brothers, Amos Grumbine, Jr., Kenneth Grumbine, and Charles Grumbine.

Services and inurnment will be private at the convenience of the family.
