Dwayne E. O’Byle, 62, of Lebanon, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

Born in Lebanon on July 11, 1961, he was the son of Elbert O’Byle, of Jonestown, and the late Arlene Krall O’Byle.

Dwayne served in the Army and retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He worked most of his life as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Jonestown American Legion and the Navy Club of Lebanon. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, boating, and camping. He loved his dog, Milo, and he especially loved and enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his son, Jordan A. Crouch, of Alexandria, VA; his daughters, Staci L. O’Byle, of Lebanon, and Amy J. Silvestri, of Annville; his sisters, Crystal R. Erb, of Lebanon, Kelly S. Sebastian, of Jonestown, and Michele A. Gardner, of Lebanon; his granddaughters, Niva, Emberlyn, and Tieghan; and his friend, Michele Deaven, of Bernville.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment with military honors will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
