Earl C. “Pete” Beatty, 87, of Cleona, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He is survived by his loving wife, Dororthy A. (Packard) Beatty. He was preceded in death by his late wife, Marian (Packard) Beatty.

Born in McVeytown, PA, on Sept. 8, 1936, he was the son of the late Palmer and Vera (Steiger) Beatty.

Pete was a member of East Salem United Methodist Church in Mifflintown and previously attended Immanuel United Methodist Church in Cleona. He was a member of American Legion #910. Pete was a “soldier for life.” He served for over 40 years in the United States Military.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, is four children, Christina Beatty, wife of Joseph Antal, of Lebanon, Kim Weiant, wife of David, of Lebanon, Brenda Dodson, of Annville, Peter M. Beatty, of Lebanon; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his late first wife, Pete was preceded in death by his sister, Corinne Madonna; and his stepson, Donald Gingrich.

A public viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Grand View Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Immanuel United Methodist Church, 29 E. Maple St., Cleona, PA 17042, in his memory. Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, Annville is handling arrangements.
