Earl E. Graeff, 90, of Myerstown, PA, died on Monday, Feb. 9, 2026, at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. He was the husband of Mildred M. (Smith) Graeff, to whom he was married for 70 years.
Born in Bernville, PA, on May 26, 1935, he was a son of the late Samuel O. and Edna M. (Kauffman) Graeff. Earl was a 1953 graduate of Penn Bernville High School, graduating as salutatorian. He worked as a foreman at Schlegel Builders for 30 years, retiring in 2000. He also worked at Sheidy Builders. Earl was a borough council member and a consistory member at St. Thomas Church for 11 years, and a life member of Marion Township Rod and Gun Club. Earl enjoyed golfing, bowling, woodworking, making crafts, hunting, and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Deborah D. Graeff, wife of Grace Gross, and Kimberly K., wife of Timothy Earnest; son, Ted T., husband of Melody Graeff; grandchildren, Melissa, Michele (Julius), Andrew (Lindsey), Joshua (Kelly), Rachel (Jorge), and Rebekah (Christian Leffko); great-grandchildren, Rowan, Reid, Reese, Ethan, Simon, and Adeline; sister, Anna Mae Smith; and several nieces and nephews. Earl was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sarah; and sister, Betty J. Riegel.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a viewing beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
