Earl F. Long, 90, of Millsboro, Delaware, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at the Beebe Healthcare Center.
He was born on Friday, May 13, 1932, to the late Cyrus Long and Pauline Long nee Mohler of Lebanon.
Earl was a member of the United States Air Force for 20 years before he retired on August 1, 1969, and returned home to Lebanon. He was a hard worker who could master any skill he set out to learn. Earl loved Nascar’s Chase Elliot, motorsports, and flying electric planes he would build himself.
He is survived by his children, Beverley Yost (Paul), Susan Wenrich (David), Julie Schriver (Steven), John E. Long (Michele), and Earl M. Long (Michelle); grandchildren, Corey Long (Alexis), Wyatt Schriver, Amelia Schriver, Mitchell Long, Alexis Long, and Austin Long; and great-grandchild, Jenson Long.
Earl is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Adalaine M. “Eileen” Long; son, Douglas M. Long; and brothers, Samuel E. Long and John E. Long.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 10 AM at Christman’s Funeral Home, 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon, PA 17042. Burial will be held at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery following the service.
