Edward B. “Ed” McIntyre, 70, of Annville, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2020 at The Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Marilyn J. (Leister) McIntyre, with whom he celebrated 43 years in marriage.
Ed was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 2, 1949 to the late Edward B. McIntyre, Jr. and Stephanie (Holden). He was a US Army Vietnam War Veteran and served as an Army Ranger. Ed obtained his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University. In 2004, he retired from the Lebanon County Correctional Facility as the Director of Training. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Annville. Ed enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, golfing, archery, hiking, ATVing, or kayaking. He had a love for the outdoors.
Surviving in addition to his wife is his son, Brian McIntyre and his wife Lauren of Lebanon and his sisters, Tammy Smith, Samantha Wilson, and Kelly Weise. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Robin Smith.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 10:30AM from Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Inurnment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with military honors. There will be a visitation held on Thursday evening, February 20, 2020 from 6PM-8PM at the funeral home and again on Friday morning from 9:30AM-10:30AM at the funeral home.
