Edward J. Dissinger, 78, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 23, in the Lebanon VA Medical Center.

Born in Williamsport, PA, Edward was a son of the late Edwin Dissinger and Rebecca (Smith) Dissinger. He was a 1977 graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The campus is well-known locally for its elaborate Christmas light display (millions of lights), which transforms parts of the campus into a highlight during the holiday season. He was also a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Surviving are his sons, Eric Dissinger, of Lancaster, Stephen Dissinger, and Taylor Applegarth, of Wolford, MD; and four grandchildren.

Interment with military honors will be in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, PA
