Edward Sterling Rhen passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2021, at his home in Lebanon, PA. He was born in Lebanon, PA, on May 11, 1951.

He was the son of the late Sterling and Marion (Hower) Rhen. Edward is survived by his daughter, Julie Mask, his son, Andrew Rhen, and his life partner, Carol McDonald. Julie resides in Gainesville, TX, with her husband Cody Mask, and children Lilly and Wylie. Andrew resides in Hummelstown, PA, with his wife Megan (Balmer), and their children Cameron and Connor. Carol resides in Elmira, NY, near her children, as well as in Lebanon, PA.

Edward graduated in 1969 from Cedar Crest High School in Lebanon, PA. He then continued his education at the Pennsylvania State University Capitol Campus and graduated in 1973. He spent his career in the commercial construction industry working for Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Buckwalter Construction, Farfield Company, Rice & Weidman, James E Mahoney, Inc., and retired from Wohlsen Construction, where he worked from 1994 to 2017. Edward was a devoted and active member of The Church of Good Shepherd in Lebanon, PA, and former member of the Chemical Fire Company in Lebanon, PA. Edward enjoyed fishing, traveling, music, hiking, working in his yard and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at The Church of Good Shepherd, 1500 Quentin Road, Lebanon, PA, 17042. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the memorial service starting at 11:00 a.m. Following the memorial service, there will be a graveside service for family and friends at Kimmerlings Cemetery, 1 St Jacob’s Dr, Lebanon, PA, 17046, at 12:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Edward S.
