Edward T. “Ed” LaTour, 76, originally of North Bergen, NJ, and recently from Annville, PA passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and supportive family. He was the husband of Elaine M. (Bracchi) LaTour, with whom he celebrated 51 and a half years in marriage.

Ed was born in Jersey City, NJ to the late Vincent and Edna (Steigler) LaTour. He was a US Air Force Veteran. Ed served on the honor guard of JFK’s funeral detail. Ed was considered a pillar of his community. He was Director of Motor Pools in Hudson County, NJ and was also the proud owner of LaTour’s Deli in North Bergen for 38 years. He served 30 years on the Board of Education in North Bergen, NJ, along with 5 years as President of the Hudson County Board of Education.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his sons, Richard and his wife Melannie, David and his wife Melisa, grandchildren, Logan, Connor, Quinn, Rocco, and Venezia, and his sisters, Mary Hobson and Joan Chittenden. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert LaTour and Dorothy Mutschler.

Funeral services will be private. He will be laid to rest in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
