Eileen F. George, 79, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 25, 2021, at the Rosewood Rehabilitation Center in Schuylkill Haven. She was the wife of Clayton R. George. On April 21st, they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Born in Schuylkill Haven on Nov. 10, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Wilson and Mildred Bahner Kramer.

Eileen had worked at the Hills and Ames Dept. Stores, and, for over 20 years, she ran a daycare in her home. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school and VBS. She especially loved being with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Denise E., wife of Jonathan Turnitsa, of Auburn, and Bethann F., wife of David Shoemaker, of Myerstown; sisters, June, wife of Robert White, of Cressona, and Linda, wife of Randall Dietz, of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Jonna (Jon) Reilly, of Lebanon, Chuck (Janelle) Sattizahn, of Shoemakersville, Adam (Mariella) Shoemaker, of Quentin, and Aaron Shoemaker, of Myerstown; and great-grandchildren, Raelyn Reilly, Anna Sattizahn, Amelia Sattizahn, due in January, and Bryson Shoemaker.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Dave, husband of Janet Kramer, of Schuylkill Haven.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Zoar Lutheran Cemetery, Mt. Zion.
