Elaine C. Horney, 77, of Annville, passed away on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at the Lebanon Valley Nursing Home. She was the wife of John M. Horney Jr.

Born in Lebanon, PA, on Dec. 20, 1948, Elaine was a daughter of the late George and Joyce (Deaven) Lerch. Elaine graduated from Northern Lebanon High School in the class of 1966 and marched in the Macy’s Christmas parade in the Northern Lebanon Viking Band. She was a homemaker, childcare provider, and worked for several years as a secretary at Lebanon Country Club. Elaine was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the parish’s Council of Catholic Women. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, bird watching, and sharing her love of music and baking with her granddaughter. Elaine especially valued going for walks with her husband around Memorial Lake and near her childhood farm by Fort Indiantown Gap.

In addition to her husband, Elaine is survived by her son, Robert Horney (Susan); daughter, Laura Miller; granddaughter, Bethany; brothers, Dennis Lerch (Jeannie) and Howard Lerch (Beth); sister, Marilyn Longenecker; and several nieces and nephews. Elaine was preceded in death by her son, John Michael Horney.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at St. Mary’s Church, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to Mass from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
