Elaine W. Fair, 89, of Palmyra, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Londonderry Village. She was the wife of Donald E. Fair, with whom she celebrated 66 years of marriage.

Elaine was born in Reistville on January 21, 1934, to the late John J. and Selma (King) Wenger.

She was a 1951 Lebanon High School graduate and a 1955 Millersville State Teachers College graduate, where she received her BS in elementary education. She started teaching in Lebanon School District, then continued her teaching career in the Annville-Cleona School District, retiring in 1996 after 29 ½ years. She was an active lifetime member of Annville Church of the Brethren. She was also a member of the Lebanon County Teachers Honor Society and Delta Kappa Gamma. Elaine enjoyed watching and listening to Phillies baseball games, Penn State football, and watching hockey. She was a prolific writer and sender of cards to people. She also enjoyed hosting family gatherings and visiting with friends and family. Thousand of hours were logged by her as a volunteer at Londonderry Village.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children, Thomas Fair (Donna), of Hershey, Lucinda Moyer, of Cleona, Michael Fair (Mary), of Cleona, and David Fair (Melodie), of Lititz, 10 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Tabakelis, and son-in-law, John Moyer.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 11 AM at Annville Church of the Brethren, 495 E. Maple Street, Annville, PA 17003. Interment will be held privately.
