Eleanor (Ellie) M. Bogar, 81, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, at The Lebanon VA Medical Center.
Eleanor was born on July 19, 1943, to the late Stephen and Anna C. (Horvath) Bogar.
After she graduated high school, she joined the U.S. Army, where she served as a medic in Vietnam. Ellie was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Lebanon. She was a kind and spiritual person who loved helping others and volunteering to help at the nursing home. Her favorite hobbies included singing and doing arts and crafts.
Surviving is a daughter, Michelle Hartman (Joseph), of Lebanon; grandchildren, Caitlyn, Michael, Emily, and Nicholas; and a brother, Richard S. Bogar, of Bethlehem.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Carol A. Stark.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with military honors. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.
