Eleanor L. Myers, 83, of Annville, passed away on Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of Kenneth R. Myers. On June 25, they would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.
Born in East Hanover Township on Feb. 19, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Solomon and Edna Swartz Long.
Eleanor retired from H. B. Reese Candy Co., where she worked as a packer on the Kit Kat line. She was a member of Faith Fellowship Church in Cleona and she enjoyed crocheting, puzzle books, and her cats.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, David L. Myers, of Annville, and Michael S. Myers, of Annville; daughter, Karen M., wife of Scott Hoerner, of Annville; sister, Catherine Kreiser, of Annville; grandchildren, Matthew R. (Sarah) Hoerner and Lindsey (Ben) Krug; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel L. Myers; brothers, Earl Long, Marlin “Butch” Miller, and George Deaven; and sisters, Beatric Shuey, Lucille Shuey, and Joyce Lerch.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. A viewing will be held on Thursday at the funeral home between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. and one prior to the service on Friday. Interment will follow at Lemberger’s Cemetery, East Hanover Township.
