Heaven was joyful today, Tuesday, March 23, 2021, with the arrival of Eleanor, especially her husband Nip and daughter Cheryl.

Eleanor provided many cherished memories to her children and grandchildren. Her Easter egg hunts were an extravaganza. She would collect prizes all year for the event. Her grandchildren’s eyes lit up at Christmas time having been given the Sears catalog to pick out their gifts. Santa always showed up on Christmas Eve, which was Pop Pop in disguise. Holidays were always special gatherings. Pop Pop and Grandma prepared the feasts, everything homemade.

We will miss her PA Dutch cooking: potato filling, baked beans, chicken pot pie, bread, jams, and jellies were the best. Eleanor enjoyed her cat Sophie, family butchering, watching, and feeding the birds, attending carnivals, country music, canning, camping, gardening, going to flea markets, collecting Longaberger baskets, and Rowe Pottery. She kept a spotless house and took excellent care of her husband Nip. She enjoyed taking her grandchildren to Knobels Park. Also, at her home in the mountains, she would play in the creek and look for quartz with her grandkids. She loved her turquoise jewelry and dressed fashionably.

Eleanor was a member of Hill United Church of Christ. She worked at Friendship Fire Company, baked, and sold homemade decorated cakes, babysat, and was a cub scout leader. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Patrick Wagner Sr. and his wife Nancy, of Millsboro, DE, Michael Wagner and his wife Lydia, of Lebanon, Colleen Smyser of Carlisle, son-in-law, Rick Nelson of Lebanon, grandchildren, Rebecca, Patrick, Jr., Nathaniel, Samantha, Jonathan, Matthew, Katherine, Jenny, 14 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret (Kintzer), her daughter, Cheryl Nelson, and her brother, Harold Kintzer.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main Street Annville.
