Elizabeth Ann Rivera, 48, of Palmyra, passed away Friday, March 20, 2020 at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. She was the wife of Angel M. Rivera, Sr., sharing 28 years in marriage.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on October 17, 1971, she was the daughter of Manuel Gonzalez of Augusta, Georgia, and Elizabeth Cicolello of Lebanon. Elizabeth was a member of St. Cecilia’s Parish, and she was a teacher at Lebanon High School. Being a cancer survivor, Elizabeth was passionate about her involvement with Relay for Life, and she volunteered her time with Family Night Out. She will be remembered for her love of elephants and the beach, her fondness for Ricky Martin, and for being the best bargain shopper around. Of all the things she loved, her grandkids and family were most important to her.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by her children Felicia Rivera, fiancée of Jason Sloan of Pittsburgh, Miguel Cruz, husband of Sharon of South Korea, step-children Alexandria Rivera of Pine Grove, and Angel Rivera, Jr., husband of Alicia of Mt. Joy; grandchildren Ryder, Layla, and Gunner Cruz, Atticus Rivera, Lyra and Zyrina Bower; sister Dawn Gonzalez of Annville; nephew Derek Penzort; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and her loving dog Jack.
