Elizabeth J. “Betty” Rice, 92, of Palmyra went home to be with Jesus on October 12, 2024, at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Donald R. Rice Sr., who passed away in 1962. She was preceded in death by her daughter Grace Ann Stouffer Teats. 

Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Minnie (McNutt) O’Bryan. Betty was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Middletown. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, quilting, reading and crossword puzzles, and she especially enjoyed having picnics and holidays dinners with her family! 

She is survived by five children, Dorothy “Dotty” Day of Florida, Donald Rice and wife Kathy, John Rice, Patricia “Patty” Rice, and Judy, wife of Roger Meyerhoffer all of Palmyra; 13 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren. Betty was the last of her immediate family. 

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 11AM at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 190 Fulling Mill Road, Middletown PA 17057. Interment will be held privately at Gravel Hill Cemetery Palmyra. A viewing will be held from 10AM until the time of her service at the Church.
