Elizabeth S. “Betty” Wible (née De Angelis), 86, passed away peacefully and was surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Annville on Saturday, May 24, 2025. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wible, who passed away in 2012.
Betty was born in Annville on March 11, 1939, to the late Luigi and Sadie (Brewer) De Angelis. A seamstress by trade, Betty was also an enormously creative craftswoman and an avid gardener. She loved rock music, especially Tina Turner. But her greatest joy in life was her family. She reveled in organizing and cooking for grand family events. Even if you weren’t family, to Betty, everyone was welcome and made to feel like they belonged.
She is survived by her children, Theresa Batz (Tom), Deborah Wible, Louis Wible (Tina), and Jacqueline Wible; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mafalda Farmer, Amelia De Angelis, Ronaldo De Angelis, Frank De Angelis, Annie Swigonski, and Louise Rains; and grandsons, Gregory Wible and Jeremiah Magni.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in her memory.
