Elson L. Hostetter, 77, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Donna (Light) Hostetter, of Fredericksburg. They celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on Jan. 14.
Born in Lebanon on Nov. 10, 1946, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Dorothy (Goodyear) Hostetter.
He graduated from Northern Lebanon High School with the Class of 1964. He attended the New Life Assembly of God Church in Grantville. Elson was a dairy farmer in Jonestown for many years. He enjoyed traveling, eating out, hunting, and going to live shows like Sight & Sound in Lancaster.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Dwain M. Hostetter, and Gregory E., husband of Kathy Hostetter, both of Jonestown; grandson, Holden Hostetter; and a sister, Corrine, wife of Glen Wagner, of Lebanon.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Curtis Hostetter and Thelma Blouch.
Funeral services will be private, and interment will be in the North Bellegrove Cemetery.
