Elta S. Ebersole, 87, of Richland, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025, at the Richland Christian Home.
Born in West Cocalico Township on Jan. 20, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Elmer H. and Elizabeth (Sauder) Ebersole. Elta worked in dietary services for the Millersville Children’s Home and Landis Homes. She was a member of the Myerstown Mennonite Church. Elta will be remembered for her kind and thoughtful nature. Precious to Elta were her church family, 16 nieces and nephews, “traveling friends,” and the RCH community.
She is survived by her brother, Wilmer (Ruth Ann) Ebersole; sister, Janet, wife of Edwin Martin; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Elvin (Sylvia) Ebersole; and sister, Elnora (Ivan) Diem.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, at the Myerstown Mennonite Church. There will be a viewing on Sunday evening from 5–8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will follow the service in the adjoining church cemetery.
