Elva H. Martin, 94, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024, at Spang Crest. She is survived by her loving husband, Henry W. Martin, of Lebanon.
Born in East Earl Township, PA, on Jan. 24, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Reuben S. and Martha (Horst) Weaver. Elva was a member of Lebanon Valley Bible Church. She was an avid quilter and a former member of Farm Women Group #15.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her children, Eugene W. Martin, husband of Kathy, of Lebanon, Gerald W. Martin, husband of Joan, of Lebanon, and Carol Ann Zell, wife of Ken, of Lebanon; siblings, Irene Steffy, wife of Aubrey, of Ephrata, Clarence Weaver, of Denver, and Henry Weaver, of Reinholds; five grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Elva was preceded in death by her grandson, Nathan Martin; son-in-law, James L. Sensenig; and siblings, Marian Weaver, Alice Weaver, Barbara Martin, Leroy Weaver, Laura Martin, Adam Weaver, Raymond Weaver, Mary Weaver, Lydia Shaffer, Elizabeth Weaver, Reuben Weaver, and Martha Hoover.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2024, from 6-8 p.m., at Lebanon Valley Bible Church, 1482 Horseshoe Pike, Lebanon, PA 17042. An additional public viewing will be held on Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, from 10-11 a.m., at the Church. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday. Interment will be held in Gingrich Mennonite Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to True Life Youth Ministries, 1300 W. Maple St., Lebanon, PA 17046, in her memory.
