Elwood R. Whitman II, 74, of Lebanon, died Monday, April 12, 2021, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital.

He was the husband of Wendy Louise (Hicks) Whitman. They celebrated their 41st anniversary on Feb. 1, 2021.

Born in Hershey, PA on April 6, 1947, Elwood was a son of the late Kathryn Elizabeth (Painter) Whitman and Elwood R. Whitman. A 1966 graduate of Palmyra High School, he retired after over 30 years as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Whitman served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed baseball and traveling.

In addition to his wife, Elwood is survived by daughters, Stephanie, wife of Larry Vallandingham, of FL, Rebecca Whitman, of Lebanon and Heather, wife of Matthew Tropp, of Lebanon, son, Christopher Whitman, of FL, grandchildren, Grace Whitman, Samantha Tropp, and Zachary Tropp, sisters, Brenda Gerberich, Melodee Whitman, and Kristy Norbert, and brother, Jeff Whitman.

Services are private at the convenience of family.
