Esther Foltz Unger, 92, of Annville, PA, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, at the Lebanon Valley Home. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James “Jim” Unger.

Born in Annville, PA, on April 10, 1933, she was the daughter of the late M. Luther and Kathryn (Herr) Foltz.

Esther loved her family, friends, walks in the woods, shopping, and bus trips. She was a member of Christ Church United Church of Christ in Annville and a member of the Lebanon Chapter of DAR.

Esther is survived by her children, Karen L. Unger, wife of Mitch Kirschbaum, of New Cumberland, PA, Lori U. Nalley, wife of George, of Plano, TX, and James E. Unger, husband of Robin, of North Little Rock, AR; sister, Charlotte A. Shoop, of Selinsgrove, PA; grandchildren, Tamara Heagy, Vanessa Taydus, wife of Justin, Eric Unger, husband of Amanda, and Nichole Carvalho, wife of Jeff; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Esther was preceded in death by her brother, Charles A. Foltz.

A public visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003. Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday at the Funeral Home. Inurnment will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
