Ethel C. L. Zearfoss, 87, of Jonestown, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, at her home. She was the wife of Donald K. Zearfoss. In April, they celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary.

Born in New York on Jan. 11, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Stephan Sr. and Anna Rakay Dostich.

She was a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Lebanon. Ethel enjoyed playing bingo and cards, going on casino trips, and cruising on the big ships.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Darrell, husband of Susan Zearfoss, of Erie, Vicki DeVitto, of Erie, Stephanie Zearfoss, of Jonestown, Melanie, wife of Randy Kohr, of Carlisle, Karen, wife of Jeff Marks, of Myerstown, Stacey, wife of Brian Sorber, of Jonestown, and Kevin, husband of Pamela Zearfoss; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Stephan Dostich Jr.; her sister, Kathryn; and her son-in-law, Gary DeVitto.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Covenant/Greenwood Cemetery, Lebanon.
