Ethel W. Lippert, 89, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Eugene A. Lippert.
Born in Lebanon on January 12, 1933, she was the 8th of 12 children born to the late John A. Weierbach, Sr., and Elizabeth Royer Weierbach.
She had been a member of the former Tabor U.C.C. in Lebanon. She served four different times as the Worthy Matron for the Lebanon Chapter No. 115 Order of the Eastern Star. Along with her husband, they were the owner and operators of Lebanon Reupholstering Co. She also had been a seamstress, and an aide for D.B. Fisher. For over 60 years, she worked the polls for the Lebanon 5th Ward Middle Precinct. She especially will be remembered for her famous homemade opera fudge.
She is survived by her sons Arlan E. and his wife Sandra Lippert of Fairfax Station, VA, and Kene L. and his wife Christine Lippert of E. Petersburg; grandchildren LaRue, Allison, Joseph, Logan, and Luke; great-grandchildren Elora, Sabrina, Seth, Adam, and Zachary; and great-great-grandchildren Lorenzo (Enzo), Harlee, and Gatlin.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Delma L. Lippert-Young and her great-great-grandson Charles Truax, IV.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. An Eastern Star service will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by the viewing until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
