Eugenia K. Shue, age 100 years, formerly of Kindred Place, Annville from 2013 until October 2021 passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at Frey Village, Middletown.

Born February 9, 1921 in Kleinfeltersville, Lebanon County, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Leibig and Eudora (Weik) Eberly. The widow of Sterling S. Shue since February 1983, she was also preceded in death by eight siblings: Ralph, Paul, Harold, Alan, Hugh, Juliette, Curt and Bruce.

After attending West Chester State College for a short time, she was asked to teach the students in a one room school house in Millbach, Lebanon County. Her success there and her reliability made her a popular substitute teacher for years throughout Lebanon County schools. Since raising and caring for her family was important to her, she filled her time during that period by teaching Sunday school at Trinity United Church of Christ in Palmyra and later actively participating in adult classes at Hill United Church of Christ, Annville and Salem United Church of Christ, Campbelltown. She also served as President of the Women’s Guild at Trinity United Church of Christ, Palmyra, and in various offices of the Palmyra Junior and Senior Women’s Club plus Eastern Star. She also volunteered over 2500 hours of service at the Hershey Medical Center.

Surviving are a daughter Susan J. Kline (Donald); son Jack S. Shue (Diane); brother Raeu Eberly; sister JoAnn Gutshall; grandchildren Deborah Kline, Elliot Shue (Elizabeth), Dylan Shue and Jordan Shue; and a great grandson Oliver Shue.
