Eugenie A. “Genie” Potters, 73, of Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of William H. Potters, with whom she celebrated 43 years of marriage.

Genie was born in Philadelphia on October 15, 1949, to Stella (Bolanowski) Smith of Topton, PA and the late Robert Smith.

She was a school teacher and retired after 40 years from Lebanon School District. She was a member of Saint Cecilia’s Catholic Church in Lebanon, where she volunteered with various groups and projects. She also volunteered with CATRA. She was a member of the International Honor Society for Women in Education and the DKG book club. She loved reading and spending time with her beloved dog, Newman, being a mother, and spending time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her mother and her husband is a son, Michael “Mike” Potters, and a brother Robert Smith and his wife Lynn.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Potters.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 11 AM from St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 120 E. Lehman Street, Lebanon. Interment will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. There will be a visitation with the family from 10 AM – 11 AM.
