Evelyn Buck Bomgardner, of Annville, PA, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 8, 2025.

Evelyn was born on Feb. 13, 1939, to the late Allen and Lizzie (Moyer) Buck. She was the oldest of six children. She attended school in a one-room schoolhouse on Hoffer Road in Annville.

At the age of 19, she met the love of her life, LeRoy, on a blind date. They would often joke that they were both blind ever since. They were married at the Bellegrove United Methodist Church on April 6, 1958. Together, they raised a family, tended to their dairy farm, and served in church ministry.

She taught Sunday school for many years, taught with A.R.E.A., Annville-Cleona Release Time Education Association. She also worked at KXCF Corp, the Lebanon Exposition Center, and Royer’s Flowers. She enjoyed her weekly ladies’ bible study, her monthly farm women meetings, working in her garden, and working on puzzles.

Her greatest accomplishment was her children and grandchildren, whom she adored and poured her life into.

She encouraged everyone to experience God’s love and to see him in everything. One of her favorite verses was Matthew 6:33, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all his righteousness shall be added unto you.” Evelyn lives on, not only in her eternal home but in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Robin Heiselman, of Hershey, Melody Good, of Annville, and Valerie, and her husband, William Lutz, of Annville; grandchildren, Matthew, Amanda, Jordon, Noah, Tyler, Cyndi, Alex, and Riley; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Miriam Kurtz, Brenda Davies, and Harry Buck.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Bomgardner; daughter, Cindy Kern; sister, Marlene Massar; brother, Alvin Buck; and son-in-law, Michael Good.

Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Donations can be made to Hospice For All Seasons, 280 S. Hill Dr., Grantville, PA 17028.
