Fern L. Blatt, 96, of Myerstown, PA, died on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Myerstown Nursing and Rehab. She was the wife of Charles W. Blatt, who died on Aug. 9, 1997.

Born in Prescott, PA, on Nov. 24, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Mary A. (Brown) Wolfe.

Fern was employed as a machine operator at Bayer Corp., Myerstown, for 30 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Host Church, Bernville, and a member of the Goodwill Fire Co., Myerstown. Fern enjoyed playing and watching bowling and golf and loved to be outside.

Fern is survived by her daughters, Pat Brandt, of Myerstown, and Rose, wife of David Johnson Jr., of Newmanstown; sons, Jerry Blatt, husband of Pauline, of Richland, and Jeff Blatt, husband of Tina, of Womelsdorf; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Victor Blatt; sister, Ellen Goodyear; and brother, Vernon Wolfe Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 11 a.m., at Grose Funeral Home, Inc., 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, PA. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. John’s “Host” Cemetery, Bernville, PA.
