Florence Alice (Eckert) Asbury died on Nov. 12, 2025, at UVA Prince William Hospital in Manassas, VA.
She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Annibali, of Chantilly, VA; granddaughter, Elizabeth, wife of Shawn Paxton, of Chantilly, VA; grandson, Christopher, husband of Valeria Annibali, of Las Vegas, NV; and great-grandson, Brayden, of Las Vegas, NV.
Since moving to Manassas, VA, 19 months ago, Florence has been an active resident at Arbor Terrace Sudley Manor Assisted Living facility. She was a resident ambassador and could be found every Tuesday afternoon playing Pokeno with other residents and her granddaughter. Prior to moving to Virginia, Florence lived at Cornwall Manor for three years, and in the home in Lebanon she built with her now deceased husband, Stanley.
In addition to being an amazing homemaker, wife, and mother, Florence was a bookkeeper at Bressler Metal Works and later an executive secretary at the Lebanon Mental Health Association for many years. She was a very active member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, where she was the first female senior warden, was active in the Episcopal Church Women, and assembled the heritage room.
Florence enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, crocheting (including making crocheted snowflake ornaments, sweaters, and afghans), being an active LHS band parent, going on cruises, riding in hot air balloons, and making many memories by taking trips with her daughter and family to Kiawah Island, SC.
A committal service will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA, on Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at 11 a.m., at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Lebanon, PA, to be followed by a luncheon in the Parish Hall. The family welcomes family and friends to both services.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Lebanon, PA, in Florence’s memory.
