Francis “Pappy” Boyer, 75, of Jonestown, passed away on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, at his home.

Born in Lebanon on Sept. 13, 1948, he was the son of the late Ray and Catherine “Kitty” Getz Boyer.

Pappy retired from PennDOT, where he had been a diesel mechanic and welder. He was a member of the AmVets and the VFW. He loved his family, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters, Sheila R. Boyer, of Jonestown, Sharon R. Boyer, of Jonestown, and Christy L. Boyer, of Harrisburg; grandchildren, Sean Kreiser, Marlisa A. (Cory) Leffler, and Nicholas S. (Brandi) Kreiser; great-grandchildren, Mykayla Kreiser Chloe Broadbeck, Evie Leffler, Lillie Leffler, and Ambriella Kreiser; great-great-grandson, Jason Boyer; brothers, Joe Boyer, of Jonestown, Bill Boyer, of Jonestown, and Andy Boyer, of Pine Grove; and sisters, Pat Pelly, of Fredericksburg, Rayanna Leedy, of Grantville, and Judy Grumbine, of Hamburg.

He was preceded in death by his grandsons, Michael Kreiser, son of Sheila, and Luke Boyer, son of Christy; brothers, David and Robert Boyer; and sister, Susan Klinger.

At Pappy’s request, there will be no services. Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Chapel Cemetery, Green Point.
