Frank E. Via, 71, of Jonestown, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, at his home. He was the husband of Darlene K. Shifflett Via.

Born in Lebanon on November 9, 1951, he was the son of the late Frank W. Via, Jr., and Gene B. Flocken Via.

Following high school, he served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. Frank retired from Reese’s after 31 years of service. He had been a member of the Union Twp. Planning and Zoning Board, and he was an avid pool player. He was the family handyman and was always willing to give a helping hand. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going to their sporting events. He was idealized by his sons, will always be loved, and will never be forgotten.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Eugene F., husband of Michele Gladfelter, of Lebanon, and Andrew M., and his wife, Vidalina Via, of Lebanon; sister, Frankleen W., wife of Robert Gibson, of Annville; sister, Michelle, wife of Scott Hoover, of Halifax; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Edwin O. Keller, and his brother, Dennis J. Via.

A graveside service with military honors will be held on April 24, 2023, at 3 p.m. A procession will be leaving the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown, at 2:30 p.m.
