Fred Alden Greenawalt, 72, of Annville, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020 at Cedar Haven. He was the husband of Susan M. (Allwein) Greenawalt, sharing 50 years in marriage.

Born in Lebanon on June 26, 1948, he was the son of the late William and Marian (Progin) Greenawalt. Fred graduated from Lebanon High School with the class of 1967 and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Campbellsville College in 1974. In high school, he was a three-sport athlete, playing football, basketball, and running track, and he played tennis in college. He was a member of the National Guard from 1970 to 1976. Fred worked for 34 years as a Beer Truck Driver for Willsbach Distributors in Harrisburg. He was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd, Friendship Fire Co., Annville American Legion, and Teamsters Union Local 429. Fred enjoyed traveling, especially cruising, and he was an avid Penn State Fan.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, Nathan J. Greenawalt, of Mt. Wolf, PA, and Mark W. Greenawalt, husband of Alice, of Fairfax, VA; grandchildren, Andrew Greenawalt and Rebecca Greenawalt; brothers, Daniel Greenawalt, husband of Judith, of Cleona, and Gary Greenawalt, husband of Michael Mondragon, of Apopka, FL. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Greenawalt.

Due to current circumstances, private services will be held at this time. A public memorial service will be held at a later date.
