Gale E. Whitman, 69, of Jonestown, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at her home. She was the wife of the late Gary L. Whitman.

Born in Lebanon on Oct. 21, 1956, she was the daughter of the late George and Grace (Cox) Dubble. Gale retired from the Lebanon Daily News, where she worked in the circulation department. She enjoyed crocheting, and most of all, she loved her family and the time that she was able to be with them.

She is survived by her sons, Greg (Tiffany) Smith, of Lebanon, Geoff E. (Amy) Smith, of Jonestown, and Gary E. (Amanda) Smith, of Jonestown; sisters, Ellen Gogets, of Richland, Gwen Hancock, of Lancaster, and Ginger Hershey, of Annville; grandchildren, Mellony (Jarrett) Stadtler, Dyllan, Austin, Emily, and Dominic; and great-grandson, Phoenix.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition, 2397 Quentin Road, Suite B, Lebanon, PA 17042.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.
