Gary A. Herberg, 78, of Lebanon, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024, at the M.S. Hershey Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Gloria J. (Luciani) Herberg, to whom he was married for over 51 years.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Alvin and Mabel (Hook) Herberg.

Gary graduated from the Milton Hershey School in 1964 and worked as a truck driver for various companies during his career. He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Annville. Gary loved to fish, spend time with his family, complete word search puzzles, and take trips driving across the country with Gloria. Gary had a very generous nature, had a great sense of humor, loved people, and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was a social butterfly and enjoyed spending time around others.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Natalie Herberg; a son, Andrew Herberg, and wife, Jessica; two grandchildren, Ryan Messenger and Emma Herberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Mae Costello.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. from St. Paul the Apostle Church, 125 S. Spruce St., Annville, with Rev. Kevin J. Coyle as celebrant. Inurnment will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
