Gary David Gattone, 85, of Fredericksburg, formerly of Allentown, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Lebanon Valley Home in Annville. He was the husband of Irene (Cole) Gattone, of Fredericksburg. Gary and Irene celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on July 21st of 2022.

Born in Reading on February 6, 1938, Gary was the son of the late Rev. Verino Gary and Catherine (Luppold) Gattone.

During his working years, Gary was a pipefitter for Western Electric in Allentown and also had his own plumbing business. He attended the Lebanon God’s Missionary Church while living in Fredericksburg.

Gary enjoyed using his construction skills to serve God at his church and at Bible colleges, i.e., Kentucky Mountain, Hobe Sound, and Penn View.

He is survived by his sons, David, husband of Candace Gattone, of Annville, and Kevin, husband of Lillian Gattone, of Pottsville; and grandchildren, Cody Gattone, Ariana (Gattone), wife of Kyle Johnstone, Dominic Gattone, Aaron Hughes, and Marcus Hughes.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Delores Bidwell.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the God’s Missionary Church, 2127 Hill St., Lebanon, PA 17046. There will be a viewing from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Interment will follow at the Wenger Cemetery in Jonestown.
