Gary P. Chernich, a respected member of the Lebanon community, died on Nov. 2, 2025, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born on Dec. 18, 1957, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, to the late Donald J. and Mary J. (Wolfe) Chernich.

Gary was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He and Jody were married for almost 50 years, maintaining a committed partnership throughout. Together, they pursued activities such as fishing, boating, and spending time with family, resulting in many lasting memories shared among relatives and friends. Additionally, they regularly attended their grandsons’ sporting events, where Gary consistently supported from the sidelines.

He is survived by his wife, Jody; brothers, Robert Thome (wife Etsuko), Donald J. Chernich, and David B. Chernich; son, Gary P. Chernich Jr.; daughter-in-law, Arianne; and grandsons, Owen and Jackson.

Gary will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, honesty, and passion for cheering on the Miami Dolphins. His legacy lives on with all who knew him.
