Gary R. “Doc” Daugherty, 71, of Lebanon, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon.

Born in Lebanon on May 2, 1949, he was the son of the late Robert and Gay V. Petratus Daugherty. Gary was retired from Hershey Foods Corporation.

Gary was a 1967 graduate of Annville-Cleona High School and served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard from 1970-1974. He was a member of the Jonestown Fish and Game and coached Annville Youth League baseball for both his son and grandsons. Throughout his life, Gary loved to laugh as well as make others laugh. He was his grandchildren’s “loudest cheerleader.”

Surviving is his fiancé, Gail M. Rohland, of Lebanon, a daughter, Amy Jo, wife of Bohdan F. Setlock, of Annville, a son, Jason M., husband of Dr. Becky Daugherty, of Downingtown, two grandchildren, Caleb R. and Danika P. Setlock, a great-grandson, Elijah Quentin, two brothers, Ronald and Ricky Daugherty, fiancé Gail’s daughter, Melissa A. Rohland, and her children, Grayson and Myla O’Neal. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Elijah F. Setlock.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to the Eli Setlock Scholarship Fund, C/O Dutchmen Education Foundation, 520 S. White Oak St., Annville, PA 17003 in his memory.
