Gary R. Geist, age 90, passed away on March 28, 2026, at Berks Heim in Leesport, PA.

Born on July 1, 1935, in Annville, PA, to Elwood and Katherine Geist, Gary was formerly a machinist at Rockwell International Corp. in Reading, and he also worked part-time at the Manheim Auto Auction. He was the loving husband of June R. Geist (married in Hawaii) and devoted stepfather to her daughter, Rebecca.

An avid hunter, Gary was also always up for a good meal. He enjoyed traveling, particularly to Myrtle Beach or on ocean cruises with his wife and family. In his later years, Gary’s hobbies included jigsaw puzzles, assembling model planes, and bringing smiles to the residents of his building by sharing candy with them.

Gary is survived by his wife, June Geist; and stepdaughter, Rebecca, married to Brian Worrell. Gary was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred “Millie” Geist; and brothers, Rodney Geist and Randy Geist.

The memorial service for Gary will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 11 a.m., at the Lebanon Church of the Brethren, with a visitation to start there at 10 a.m. Memorial donations can be made in Gary’s name to the Lebanon Church of the Brethren.
