Gary Wayne Simmers, 77, of Schaefferstown, passed away in Lancaster General Hospital on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
He was born in Hershey on Aug. 12, 1947, a son of the late Harold and Agnes (Sullivan) Simmers. He was the husband of Linda (Crain) Simmers for 54 years.
Mr. Simmers was a retired machinist for Bethlehem Steel and Johnson and Johnson. He was a graduate of Cornwall High School in 1965. He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Schaefferstown. He enjoyed hunting, attending car shows, and, most of all, being with his family.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his daughters, Stacy Stahl (Richard), of Campbelltown, and Kristy Halbleib (Frank), of Lebanon; and sister, Sandy Taddeo, of Campbelltown.
Gary was predeceased by his sister, Pat Johnston.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
