Gene Haag, son of Arlene (Barnes) Haag and Herman Haag, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024, in Venice, FL, under the care of Hospice.
Gene is survived by his sister Patricia Seigrist; sons Todd Haag, Jeremy Haag, and Michael Heck; daughter Kristi Rupponer; and grandchildren Joe and Alexis Rupponer, Brayden and Lucas Heck, and Maya Haag.
Gene was a lifelong resident of his beloved Myerstown until a chronic disease forced him into an extended care facility. Gene moved to Florida in January 2023 to be closer to his son Todd and granddaughter Maya.
Gene was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and will be buried next to his parents at the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
Gene enjoyed golf, coaching youth soccer, and spending time with his grandchildren. Gene was an active member of the Myerstown United Church of Christ until his health declined.
