Gene P. Turner, 79, of Lebanon, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at his residence. He was the husband of Ruth M. (Custer) Turner, with whom he celebrated 61 years in marriage.

Gene was born in Centerport, PA, on October 17, 1942, to the late Elmer and Violet (Kreiser) Turner.

He had worked as a machinist at Raymark Industries in Manheim. Following his employment in Manheim, he worked as a mechanic at Keller Brothers. He was a member of First EC Church in Lebanon, where he was a steward and very active within the church. He was also a member of Mt Lebanon Lodge 226 and Mt. Olivet Lodge 704. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Scott Turner and his wife Wendy of Lebanon, Paula Turner of Lebanon, Kris Turner and his wife Crystal of Annville, four grandchildren, Kristin, Brayden, Caleb, Melayna, and two great-grandchildren, Turner and Abigail.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Hunter, and siblings, Jack Turner, Elmer Turner, and Nancy Smith.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 11 AM at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main Street, Annville. Interment will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 10 AM – 11 AM at the funeral home.
