Geneva A. Cooper of Lebanon, PA passed away at the age of 94 on Monday, June 21, 2021, at Sunrise of Westtown in West Chester, PA.
Geneva was born Monday, April 4, 1927, in Backus, W.V. to the late Link Berry and Euna Berry. She graduated from Millersville University with a Master’s in Education with a Specialty in Reading and taught for 43+ years, at Southeast Elementary school in Lebanon, PA. She absolutely loved every minute of her teaching career. Her second passion was volunteering.
Geneva was proud to be a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lebanon and volunteered as the treasurer for numerous years. She visited retired teachers and was honored for volunteering over 9,000 hours at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a lifelong member of the Eastern Star and participated in the Red Hat Society. Lastly, Geneva loved playing bridge and was a member of two bridge clubs.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Link Berry and Euna Berry, her husband, William Lee Cooper, Jr., eldest son, William Lee Cooper III, and brothers Clarence Berry and Andrew Berry.
She is loved by her remaining three children, Richard Cooper, Michael Cooper, and Michele Hanna along with four grandchildren, one great grandson, and her younger sister, Norma Keyser.
Services will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 723 Lehman St. Lebanon, PA 17046 on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, with a viewing from 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and service at 5:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Society of Dementia, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lebanon, Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon or a charity of your choice.
