George A. Eash, 73, of Fredericksburg, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 16, 2025. He fought a courageous fight. He was the husband of Debra E. (Eisenhour) Eash. On June 6, they would have celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary.
Born in Johnstown on Nov. 21, 1951, he was the son of the late Merle Eash Sr. and Thelma (Blough) Eash.
He served in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam Conflict. George was the former owner of Eash’s Towing & Salvage in Fredericksburg and a local racecar driver. He was well-known in his community, and he was loved by many for his kind heart and willingness to help anyone.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Robert (Amy) Bossinger, Richard Bossinger, Terri Seavey Confer, Holly (David) Bomberger, Melissa (Chris) Confer, Tiffany Wagner, and Adam Eash; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. There will be a viewing on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home. There will be no viewing on Monday. Following the service, interment with military honors will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
