George Albert Heller, Jr., 87, of Myerstown, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021, in his home. He was the husband of Ruth Snyder Heller with whom he was married to for 63 years.

He was born in Lebanon on October 18, 1933, son of the late George Albert Heller, Sr. and Esther Shirk Heller and stepmother Emma Heller. George was employed for 31 ½ years, retiring in 1994 as a group leader for Sterling Drug in Myerstown. He was a graduate of Lebanon High School, class of 1952, and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He worshipped at Myerstown Church of the Brethren and enjoyed attending Sterling Drug retiree breakfasts. George was an avid sports fan, enjoyed working out at the Elco High School Gym and completing Circle A Word books.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children, George A. Heller, III and wife Eileen, of Stevens, Julia Heller Grodzicki and husband Bob, of Lititz; grandchildren, Brieanna Heisey and husband Tyler, George A. Heller, IV and wife Meg, Sabrina Heller, Paul Heller and wife Katrina, Geoffrey Heller and wife Anna, Shannon Grodzicki and Caitlyn Grodzicki; and great-grandchildren, Paisley, George V, Logan, Grady, and Brooklyn.

Family and friends are invited to the graveside service, which will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in Ono Cemetery. At the family’s request, please write on a notecard, a story about how you met George and bring it to the cemetery.
