George D. Shaak, 92, of Lebanon, passed away on June 26, 2025 at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital.
Born in Lebanon, George was the son of the late Lee and Carrie (Swanger) Shaak. He worked for Bell Telephone Company and retired from Verizon. He was a graduate of Lebanon Valley College, served in the U.S. Army, and loved music, the arts, reading, gardening, traveling, and family.
George is survived by his brother, John Shaak, of California; nieces and nephew, Cindy Emma, of New Jersey, Cathy Wise and Caren Butera, of Pennsylvania, Tom Shaak, of Mississippi, Leslie Hitelman, of Massachusetts, and Jamie Ragan, of Colorado; 12 great-nieces and -nephews; and seven grand-nieces and -nephews.
George was preceded in death by his brothers, Thomas Shaak and James Shaak, both of Lebanon, and Bernard Shaak, of Colorado; and niece, Kimberly Shaak Panjwani, of New York.
